Volunteer at the Breastival October 7!

Would you like to help make an AU tradition a reality? The 4th annual Breastival is less than 2 weeks away (October 7!), and we need your help!! Volunteers are needed to hang posters, set up tables, sell t-shirts, lead games, staff the dunk tank ... the possibilities are endless! We need people to help out as much as they can between 9am & 6pm. The more people we have, the more successful the event will be, and the more money we can raise to fight breast cancer!

Please e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to let us know when you can volunteer… We need as many hands as possible. Thanks!!!

Women’s Initiative

Women's Initiative is a non-partisan, inclusive department of the Student Government that helps coordinate and advise campus departments and committees on programming and policy decisions that affect the women students, faculty, and staff of American University. Women's Initiative focuses on making AU a safer, more equitable, and more empowering place for women through AU traditions like the Breastival, AIDS Walk Washington, World AIDS Day, the Vagina Monologues, Women's History Month, and Take Back the Night. Not only do we plan some of AU's most popular annual events, but we also work on policy issues like pushing the administration to create a Women's Resource Center, collaborate with the Student Health Center, and working with Public Safety to keep campus safe for everyone.
