AIDS Awareness Week

In commemoration of AIDS Awareness Week, Women’s Initiative will be putting on a series of events from November 30th to December 4th.

Monday, Nov. 30
Perceptions of Africa Through Art

7:00pm
Kay Spiritual Center

An evening of music, poetry, and discussion celebrating African creativity. Reception following with vegetarian Ethiopian food provided by Zed’s Ethiopian Cuisine in Georgetown. Gospel Choir Performance

Courage and Hope

Join us for a screening of Courage and Hope, the award-winning documentary that tells the stories of HIV+ school teachers in Africa.  After the screening there will be a dialogue with one of the featured teachers, Beldina Atieno, of Kenya, and the producers of the film. Friday Dec. 4
Movie and Letter Writing to Indian Orphanage

5:30pm - 7:00pm
