Women’s Initiative General Interest Meeting

DC EVENTS

HRC Phone banking – Want to get some volunteering in before the holidays? Join the Human Rights Campaign for its biweekly Dialing for Equality phone banks at our national headquarters.  Learn the basics of phone banking, make calls into priority districts and states nationwide, network with like-minded individuals and learn more about the LGBT equality movement. People need underwear! – Join the DC Rape Crisis Center in providing rape survivors with clean underwear this holiday season. When people leave the hospital, their underwear is taken as evidence. Even a donation of ONE dollar will provide a clean, new pair of underwear to someone in this situation. Donations can be sent to Volunteer Office, DC Rape Crisis Center, PO Box 34125, Washington DC 20043. Checks should be made out to “DC Rape Crisis Center”.

INTERNSHIPS

The Feminist Majority Foundation –

Intern with the Feminist Majority Foundation this spring! Join our team and contribute to our work by organizing events, researching information, attending rallies, monitoring legislation, and more! FMF seeks highly motivated undergraduate students with a passion for feminist issues and an interest in public policy and political science. All who are interested are encouraged to apply.
